How to Hang Plating Without Hanging Tool Marks

Author: Robby

Avoiding the appearance of hangers marks during the hanging plating process can be achieved by the following methods:

  1. Moving the position of the hangers or the workpiece: During the galvanising process, the occurrence of hangers marks can be reduced by moving the front and back of the hangers or the workpiece to ensure that each position is evenly galvanised.
  2. Clean the hooks in a timely manner: Regularly remove the plating from the hooks to ensure good electrical conductivity and to avoid the phenomenon of mounting marks caused by high electrical resistance.
  3. Choose thin hooks: Using thin hooks can reduce the contact area of the hanging point, thus effectively avoiding the printing of the hooks.
  4. Choose the right plating solution: Use the plating solution with strong dispersing ability and covering ability, such as Bigelow's Ni-301 nickel plating brightener, which can reduce the appearance of hang-up marks.
  5. Optimise the design and hanging position of plating parts: choose appropriate edge shielding of plating parts to avoid contact marks at the mounting place, and choose suitable hanging position to reduce the mounting marks.

Through the above measures, it can effectively reduce or avoid the appearance of hang-up marks and improve the plating quality.
