Diesel forklifts are widely used in heavy industry, warehousing, and outdoor operations due to their powerful performance and long-lasting operation. However, diesel forklifts may face some common problems during daily use. Here are a few common issues and their solutions.

1. Starting Difficulty
Problem:
Diesel forklifts may have trouble starting, especially in cold weather or after extended periods of inactivity.
Solution:
- Check Battery Power: Even though it's a diesel forklift, starting requires battery power. Ensure the battery is fully charged and maintained regularly.
- Use Preheat Function: In cold conditions, use the engine's preheat function to help it start smoothly.
- Check Fuel System: Ensure the diesel quality is good and that the fuel system is unobstructed. Replace the fuel filter if necessary.
2. Engine Overheating
Problem:
The engine may overheat during prolonged high-load operations or in hot weather conditions.
Solution:
- Check the Cooling System: Ensure the radiator is clean, and coolant levels are adequate. Regularly clean dust and debris from the radiator.
- Check Fan Belt: A damaged or loose fan belt can reduce cooling efficiency. Regularly check and adjust the belt tension.
- Avoid Overload: Reduce workload during extreme heat and allow the engine to cool down periodically to avoid overheating.
3. Excessive Noise
Problem:
Diesel forklifts may produce excessive engine noise, especially when the equipment is aging or improperly maintained.
Solution:
- Check the Engine: Regularly inspect the engine for loose or worn-out parts.
- Check the Exhaust System: Blocked or damaged exhaust pipes can increase noise. Clean or replace the exhaust system as necessary.
- Lubricate Key Parts: Ensure all moving parts are lubricated regularly to reduce friction and noise.
